SRT International Conference is a resounding success

Exciting research on the interations between horse, saddle and rider was presented at the Saddle Research Trust Conference held at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge on Saturday 29th November 2014, generously supported by World Horse Welfare, the British Equestrian Federation, Amerigo Saddles and Horse and Hound Magazine. Around 400 delagates attended the conference, including saddle manufacturers, saddle fitters, coaches, vets, physios and riders. The following quote is just one of many posted on social media following the conference:

"Back home again after an inspiring few days at the SRT International Conference and workshops. Heartfelt thanks to all the delegates and sponsors. Your input and expertise will make a real difference to the welfare of horses and riders all over the world. I don't think I have ever before been in a room with a group of people who could move things forward in the way you all did. Amazing. : ) "

After the high energy and buzz of the public conference came the invitation–only Saddle Research Trust International Research Workshop, which took place at the Animal Health Trust, Newmarket over two days, generously sponsored by Albion Saddlemakers. The workshop provided an opoortunity for the world’s top researchers to share their knowledge and experience in the investigations of saddles, human and equine health and have frank, open discussions around the priorities of future studies.
